Do Lawmakers know or care that our springs are dying?

One of the many unique and wonderful things about Florida are the natural springs that populate the state.  We have more of them and bigger ones than any other place in the world.  Yet we are quickly destroying them and turning them into disgusting, rotting algae pits or worse, drying them up completely.

This opinion piece from the Gainesville Sun today, by Ron Cunningham explains in an extraordinarily clear and concise way, exacting what is happening.  Please read it and then send it to your favorite Florida Legislators, the Governor and anyone else who has the ability to do something proactive to better protect our springs.
