What a beautiful example of corporate welfare where it is not only wasteful but detrimental to the public good.  Thanks Rick Scott for one more example of what a curse you are on our state!

There’s seems to be no limits on the amount of money that the state and federal governments are willing to give to the St Joe Development Company.  This article in the Tampa Bay Times explains the latest giveaway of state transportation money to build new highways through St Joe timber lands so a new city can be born – and St Joe can get even richer.

The welfare checks have been rolling in from state and federal coffers for years now and it seems that no matter who is in charge, St Joe always gets its wishes/demands filled with our tax dollars, while worthy projects and serious needs go unfunded.
